I have prepared a collection of drawing depicting ethnic groups from South America, Africa and Australia. Each picture is built up progressively using straight pencil drawn lines on a black background, creating a uniquely textured appearance. The collection contains pictures that are formatted in a variety of ways. Some are single, stand alone works whilst others are constructed of multiple drawings in order to create a larger piece.

The nature of hand drawn images provide, in my opinion is the clearest way to visualise the complex thoughts, emotions and knowledge embodied by societal groups. To gain a further insight into my work and see examples, please visit www.martin-buehrer.ch
