My work has an expressionist-symbolist style and I use mythologies from eastern and western civilizations. I use Syncretism to develop patterns that reveal how our current culture opens itself into its different art’s functions to reflect our way of living, hopes and mistakes.
Syncretism is the combination or fusion of different beliefs, Philosophies, Mythologies or Religions, emphasizing an underlying unity that allows an inclusive approach to other faiths. Syncretism commonly have expressions in art and culture that can join together.

GMO, THE BLIND COMBAT BETWEEN THESEUS AND THE MINOTAUR
The combat begins when you ask yourself: Who am I? The greatest act of heroism is having the
courage to discover who you are and what you would like to be. That fight is between the
conscious and the unconscious, the rational and the irrational. It is violent at times and only
saved by those who bet on the joy or bliss of being what one innately craves for oneself. There is
man as part of Nature; in consonance with the universe and the Creator. Then there is a new
humankind created by man without His help. All the mythologies are meant to warn and give
advice, but even more, they remain effective and pertinent throughout time if the advice is not
followed. People who forget their history tend to repeat the same mistakes and continually pay
the same consequences.
