Biography
You choose how to relate in life, and in this case Liliana has chosen painting, which appeared in her life without he rever searching for it because in her family Art brought sounds and colours to every experience she underwent. Her father and one of her brothers filled her house with drawings; her grandmother on her father’s side used to gather the whole family round the piano to give them chance of participating in her music; her uncle, Aram Jachadurian, is at present a well-known musician of international repute.

As an adolescent she would visit Dorrego Square, where many Sundays she used to sit amidst street artists to draw and paint and it was also there that she bought her first Artbook, on Michelangelo’s life.

From then on, her eagerness for expression led her to attend drama, singing and dancing lessons, which she alternated with her daily chores: looking after her family, her husband and her two sons, and her studies at the School of Economics. Later on she took an active part in the management of Clinica Santa Catalina, a prestigious rehabilitation centre in Buenos Aires, where she fostered the implementation of a unique and ground-breaking technique in the rehabilitation process, “The Artheraphy Workshop”, obtaining highly significant results in patients.

Immersed in the world of painting, she has attended Master Jorge Demijian’s art workshop since 1982, thus discovering day by day her universe of creative energy that she reveals in her works, which spontaneous, endowed with unique colours and stemming from a conscientious work on the palette.

The artistic combination of strokes arouses, through colour and attitude, the soul which freely expresses itself, now frantic, now calm.

On the way to self-improvement, she has participated in exhibitions, always obtaining recognition and merit.

Her work goes beyond ordinary, a repertoire of colours and shapes which lends itself to imagination, thus the atmosphere which stems from it guides her to the theme.

Liliana is absolutely generous when it comes to art, she only walks freely because she has chosen PAINTING as a means of artistic expression.

Cited by her Master:
“The moment Liliana plays her phantoms, the creative act arises. Every stroke is an impulsive move which crystalises in colour, and when she starts to take decisions her painting comes and goes, sometimes in a contradictory way but it is always the result of a lucid self. She is instinctive, impulsive, a woman of marked Armenian descent, a woman of action, clearly enlightened with inspiration.”
