Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1956, Kobayashi is a Japanese-style painter. She creats portraits of smiles or still life that use only script, like people’s names, and has developed an unprecedented form of artistic expression unique in the world – “hidden script pictures”. Kobayashi has won numerous awards.
