Location: Venezuela

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, on April 28, 1986, from an early age I showed a talent of saving mental images of what I saw. Creatively I am very visual – I love to recreate my experiences in imaginary landscapes and refuge there; I used to have an imaginary friend motivated by the loneliness since I was 5-years old. My mother, Haydee, always took care of me, supported and encouraged my love for art since I was kid. Growing up in a creative family, where my siblings honed their artistic talent, I always drew people, dolls and fantastic creatures. Later on, I started practicing sculpture through clay.

My talent was born during a vision I had at age seven while standing in the recreation yard of my school. While all my classmates around me were busy playing, I stood staring at the clear sky for ten minutes and felt the clouds of heaven transform into a waterfall; as if a heavenly spring brought down drops. Suddenly I saw one of those drops fall on my cheek and it was like a blessing from God. That time I did not understand this sign, though now when I look back, I realize that the Lord is always expressed and manifested in my life through the water.

I am the third son of the Roberto Bolivar, an accountant and Haydee Gonzalez, an educator and psychologist. A native of Caracas, capital of Venezuela, I was raised by my grandmother and my mother who also played the role of a father in my life. My stepfather, Emilio Moreno, has been a good example in my upbringing.

I was encouraged to study law because I am passionate reader and I believe in justice. While studying Law at José Maria Vargas University in Caracas, I met Francy Castro. On August 12, 2008, she became my wife, muse and inspiration. Although I am a lawyer by profession and have an artistic streak, I prefer to call myself an artist with pictorial vocations.
Coming from humble origins, my life has been about ups and downs, yet I prefer to reminiscent only the pleasant experiences. I started self-learning art in an attempt to hone my talent. My fascination with the history of art began in 2010 when I was introduced to the incredible artwork of Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh, Picasso, Kandinsky, Magritte, Caravaggio, Dali and many other masters whose work I learned from. I think that art is like the energy that is infinite, it is redesigned and transformed. The trips I made with Francy to other countries to experience different culture and museums allowed me to know grow even closer to art.

From that year, after practice with watercolor, charcoal, oil pastel, tempera, acrylic and oil, I decided to invest in a gallery of virtual art called Artenosfe Gallery – a blog (website) where I share my latest creations in digital or oil and acrylic. In 2013 I began to study and investigate movements and currents of contemporary and modern art. After deep reflection on this I gave life to my own Art stream called ‘Fluidalismo’ – avant-garde art movement of modern art, which I define it as simulation of liquids and gases embodied in a surface. Every now and then I keep challenging the Art to refine my technique and evolve consciousness in my country and value in art.

Well, is it inevitable that the culture of the country where you belong molds your speech, thinking, food, friendships, etc. I have managed to maintain balance in terms of political and religious fanaticism, and tried to keep a distance from all cultural movements diatribe. Venezuela is a country rich in feelings, bright, unmatched in talent and immaculate effort – these values govern my life which allows me to maintain professional integrity and emotional creativity at all times. I feel a deep identification with the struggles of my country and always carry Venezuela in my heart wherever I travel.

As a politician, I identify with any political action exalting God first and man as his creation. The left has taught me to value humanity from a Christian-humanist, a social approach and that wisdom is not free of error or re-structuring. As an artist I offer my intellectual support to any cause that celebrates creativity, intelligence, solidarity and respect for creative and visual teaching and artistic scope of science. Through Fluidalismo I’m trying to express the colorful Caribbean intensity, malleability and fickleness of all forms; the spiritual background and sentimentality of a work; dynamism, discretion and viscosity of the medium and the projection, deformation and dissolution of the concept of an artwork.

I believe an artist can never be absolutely separated from sentimentality that he achieves on a canvas, because it will absorb his soul. Indeed, art is like life itself, permissive and limiting of sentimentality.
I always thought that ‘The Art will save us’ and I consider this because I trust the artistic mediocrity of every person. In my opinion, mediocrity is the engine that drives the change of perception and improves technique in every amateur artist. When I discovered art, I drew and painted with a high level of mediocrity. Gradually I began to research the lives of those I admired and I realized that this could go far if I improved my technique; this gave me the will to change my art for the good of humanity itself and create the episode that I’m writing in the history of art.

The inspiration I receive is from the Holy Spirit himself! Christ is my guide and teacher and Francy Castro is my muse. Many a times it so happeneds that when I go somewhere, I immediately visualize a picture and disintegrate or contextualize the idea by attaching to another object. Music, the landscape of Caracas and some kinds of art work motivates me. I also read the life and work of great masters of art to get inspiration.

Today I am the creator of ‘Pictorial Fluidalismo’ and I will continue to show the world my creative talents. I’ll never rest in life! I aim to create new works to tremble the world of Art and I will support this art movement through Artenosfe Gallery. My goal in life is to provide materialized inspiration, and expand to see my work on other artists’ works in the world. My next step will be to exhibit my creations in local and international galleries.
