Exotics

In Gwen's work imagined landscapes predominate with recurring themes of mazes and enclosed or wild gardens inhabited by a diverse, often animal population. With occasional references to Northern European art history and a preference for detail, these paintings veer towards the surreal, intentionally conveying a sense of ambiguity or the unexpected.
