Marian Thomas

A native Washingtonian, I grew up in Maryland. I was inspired by my father's former co-worker from the early 60’s who was a professional film photographer for the Smithsonian Institution. He would always take portraits of my family at our home. Imagine that! I was five years old, but the memories of those experiences are as if it were yesterday. I have a deep appreciation and passion for capturing that moment in time forever.

Digital photography is my preferred method of producing genuine authentic photographs. Over time, and through my studies at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts, I developed a keen eye for photographing and creating art. As a creative artist, I have full control when behind the camera. I enjoy photographing people, events, landscapes, architecture, children, and pets, as well as making documentaries.

My best work is when I design and tell a beautiful story by creating multi-media, canvas prints, photo books, and DVD slideshows. I love placing a big smile on my customers’ faces. To me, that is most gratifying. I’m professional and gentle while working with my clients. My motto is: “To be the best at whatever you do, and you will be very successful.”
