Carole K. Boyd

My paintings are not photographs which have been manipulated, painted or altered. Rather, I start with a blank screen and, using the tools provided in Microsoft Paint, create a painting. I do not use any filters or other such digital accessories- but paint as though using a canvas and brush. My brush is my mouse.

My styles range from realism to the surreal- with everything in between, including impressionism, abstract, line drawings and humorous illustrations. My subject matter includes Native American, animals and wildlife, nature, landscapes, portraits, still life, and anything else that comes to mind! My work has been sold throughout the United States, has been included in juried competitions, featured in magazines and on internet art websites, and is presently hanging in galleries in Kerrville and Uvalde, Texas. I also do commissioned portraits of animals and people.

I aspire to bring the medium of digital painting into the realm of acceptance as one of the fine arts.
