I Am a Chennai-based artist who has been painting for over two decades. After attending Jaigopal garodia chennai, I went on to study at the College of fine art Madras, A leading Art College in India, and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Visual Communication degree in Applied Arts. Although I was working as a graphic designer and a visualiser, I have always had a passion and a keen eye for the fine arts and have continued to paint in various mediums. My paintings portray the day to day life around us. Apart from today's regular trend, my paintings are figurative having social themes. I Have had the rare opportunity of working with and learning from one of India leading contemporary artists, A.P. Santhanraj mentor and Guru since I was 12 and over the years while working with him, I've a Sound Knowledge about the usage of colour, form, balance, and other painting techniques. It's a privilege of being his only pupil.I use oil, acrylic, watercolour, and charcoal Medium & Have several Group Shows as well as some solo shows to my credit. My awards include Oriental Art Award for water colour in the year 1985&1987. State academy award for Creative Painting, Chennai Anna University in the year 1988 , Kalakriti award in Group Exhibition in the year 1990, Lalith Academy in 1996,1997,1998,1999 also in India Southern Region Lion Club Award in 2003. In 2012 I've Participated in Bangalore Chitrakala Group Exhibition... My works feature in private collections worldwide.
