Braunschweig University of Art (Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig) 1979- 1984
painting class of the german painter Hermann Albert
Since 2007 living as a full time professional artist.
I have taken a clear desicion : To create art, for me, is power and confidence. My paintings should be a carrier of hope. How does an artist handle the unpleasantness the world sometimes brings? Showing it is one possibility or making it even more unpleasant than it is. Instead, I decided to show beauty and hope. My latest series "light" and „open world“ are talking about this. Titles like „open cages“, "Light" and „I saw a new heaven" are full of light and warmth. Hope is always the main theme. Apon first looking at my paintings, you see abstraction. After revisiting my work, you discover objects like small persons and tightrope walkers

Portfolio:

hope III

"A man with a grain of faith in God never loses hope, because he ever believes in the ultimate triumph of Truth."
Mahatma Gandhi

Hope is a mixed media collage painting, inspired by street art, sized 150 H x 100 W x 4 cm deep/59,0 in H x 39,2 in W x 1,96 in D.
Hope is the main theme of my collection "open world". I am creating abstract expressive paintings that inspire hope and happiness. Windows, words sprayed and handwritten, people, boats ( cut out of old letters) emerge out of the abstracted image,- a surreal and dramatical world.
Yellow is sunshine. It is the brightest color that the human eye can see. Yellow color meaning represents youth, fun, joy and happy feelings. It is a cheerful and energetic color.
The edges are painted, so framing is not necessary. It is ready to hang. The paintings are fine varnished for protection against dust and UV light. It will be sent to you with a signed certificate of authenticity.
