Vladymyr Samokhin was born in Kansk (Russia) in 1938. He was graduated from the Kyiv State Academy of Arts (painting) in 1965.
Volodymyr Samokhin is an author of epic genre paintings, which are exhibited in state museums and educational institutions of Ukraine. The author's works are in the genres of painting, landscape, portrait and still life.
He is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1974. Volodymyr Samokhin was participated in more than 50 international and national exhibitions and events. He had personal exhibitions at the Central House of Artists of Ukraine (Kyiv) in 2004, at the Art Gallery Mytets in 2013, a personal retrospective exhibition at the National Bank of Ukraine in 2018. His works were purchased by Ukrainian museums, the Ministry of Arts, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and private collectors from Germany, France, Italy, Israel, Greece, Russia and Ukraine. The artist's creative works was presented in the international rankings: "A Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Painters 1900-1980s" London and "Unified Art Rating" Moscow in 1999, which systematized the history of Soviet and contemporary art.

He is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1974. Volodymyr Samokhin was participated in more than 50 international and national exhibitions and events. He had personal exhibitions at the Central House of Artists of Ukraine (Kyiv) in 2004, at the Art Gallery Mytets in 2013, a personal retrospective exhibition at the National Bank of Ukraine in 2018. His works were purchased by Ukrainian museums, the Ministry of Arts, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and private collectors from Germany, France, Italy, Israel, Greece, Russia and Ukraine. The artist lives and works in Kyiv and his art is very popular with modern audiences and art galleries.
