Carole Boyajian

Carole Boyajian is a figurative and abstract expressionist painter.

Born in Fresno, CA in 1948, growing up in the 1950’s, she absorbed many diverse influences that have formed her creative process.

She graduated from the Art Center School in Los Angeles (now Pasadena). Fortunate to have been under the wing of Lorser Feitelson as her master teacher at Art Center in addition to studying with Tony Berlant and Joyce Treiman, she graduated in 1969 with a BFA with Honors.

Living in Manhattan, Oregon, San Francisco and Ajijic Jalisco Mexico before returning to Los Angeles in the 1980‘s she absorbed cultures and influences thatcan be seen in her current work.

With her 30+ years as an interior design consultant working with the top architect and interior design firms in the hospitality industry, she gained an unique design sensibility that enhanced her artistic vision which is reflected in her current body of work.

The intersection of her unusual life experience coupled with her love of music, graphic design, corporate branding, typography and architecture can be observed in her paintings today.

She is grateful to now be able to devote full time to her painting at her studio in Toluca Lake, CA and return to her creative life.
