Award-winning artist, Tom Owen, is primarily self-taught. Over the last several years he has explored abstract expressionism in oil, acrylic, and mixed media; he has also worked in traditional approaches to portraiture and landscape. Currently he works in mixed media and the ancient medium of encaustic; he is influenced by contemporary encaustic artists and the color field painters of the twentieth century. Owen’s paintings are in corporate and private collections across the US.
