Simon Gonzales

I was raised in Lucerne Valley a small desert town in California. At night all you had to see with was the moonlight, I would sing songs as I walked through the dark desert, Dreaming of the big city. Music was a major influence for me; Drumming is still one of my passions.

I’ve worked in the Aerospace industry for 25 years; I’m currently the Project Developement for K&S Enterprises in Adelanto, Ca. I am a self taught S’Graffito artist, Sculptor, and Sketch artist. My only influence was my Fathers Maya paintings and carvings out of soapstone. My Father was a Palette Knife Artists.

I created ABKAL “Under The Darkness of Night” in 1994 and have been creating my art under this theme for 20 years. Warping the art into many different mediums. I sculpt the ancient Maya Indians in their purest form when they were discovering the created world around them. Night is the moment in time that is the true beauty of ABKAL oil paintings. S’Graffito techniques have a primitive process of making each paintings artistry special. Charming rays of light force there way through pitch black revealing twilight color. That only happens “Under The Darkness Of Night” making each painting custom.
My art is currently on display at THE ARTS FACTORY in Las Vegas, proud to be in the 18b Art District
