With the use of courageous and emotionally
stressed colours, the pictures of the artist
distinguish himself from other painters. The
often-used mixing of techniques, such as the use
of oil with fast-drying acrylic colors, as well as
airbrush creates the spontaneous function that
contrasts to the more mature techniques.
The works of F. Kohaut are based on the strong
conviction that tolerance, openness and cultural
variety constitute ideals for a peaceful, free and
creatively social existence.
The ambition, which pulls itself like a red thread
through the artist‘s life up til now, does not
allow the artist to rest, perhaps in an effort to
push the borders of the handicraft without
drawing a line at the border of his creativity.
The recognizable goal of the artist is to deepen
his own handwriting and gain new impulses.
Only living humans are the subjects of my
paintings. The traces of human acting and
striving, which my pictures point out, are often
only fragments of dreams and illusions. Kohaut
often uses remarkably clear smearing as well as
precisely set lines, which allow the flow of trees
into persons (their characters) and, at the same
time, persons into trees (their values).
The paradox wins in such works‘
comprehensibility.
