Roberto Brito was born in 1952 in São Luis, State of Maranhão, Brazil. He got a Bachelor certificate in Social Communication studies. He is a self-taught artist-painter. He begun to draw and to paint in his teen early years. His technique is oil on canvas. In 2004 he decided to built up his own studio where he begun to paint intensively. He has had some group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. In 2011 he showed his artworks in ArtShopping Exhibition, in Carroussel du Louvre, and he also participated of the Art in Talent Exhibition, in the Grand Palais, in Paris. He also was pointed out “Laureat 2011” of “Eiffel en Fête” painting contest.
Today Roberto Brito lives in Paris and work in his studio nearby the Eiffel Tower.

“I like to work handling colours and creating mysterious atmosphere released by light and dark/shades surrounding the figures mostly inspired from the Brazilian popular folk festivals. I am convinced that the act of painting is a challenge for lasting impression of the work shown. My goal is to celebrate the strong and the richness of Brazilian folk heritage and its cultural diversity”.
