Artist- Painter: Tony Reeves
Born in Monrovia, Liberia on the west coast of Africa Tony Reeves received his formal artist training in his homeland.
He executed his first art painting in 1986 at the age of 14 in 1990. During the civil war he left Liberia for Sierra Leone, where he had his first exhibition in 1991.
In 1992, he returned to Liberia and work with many Liberian artists together they founded the new breed painters of Liberia, Exhibiting with many Liberians artists for the next ten years. 2002, he travel to Ivory Coast with his family and continued to exhibit there with Ivorian artists.
In America, he continued his passion for landscape and seascape for the past seven years making his painting style to grow from a formal perspective to a more impressionistic approach.
The artist medial includes oil, acrylic and watercolor.
Tony Reeves has exhibited wordily in both solo and group exhibition worldwide. His paintings may be found in private and corporate collections throughout Africa, Europe, Asia and the United State
