Location: United Kingdom
I am a sculptor and painter.
Indoor sculptures are made mainly in oak, which include commissions in UK, South Africa and US. Public outdoor commissions are in Corten Steel, but I can also work towards bronze casting. These outdoor works include pieces in Germany and UK. I am a life member of the Royal Society of Sculptors.
My paintings are in the mediums of acrylic or oil, including portraiture - I've won first prize for a competition which was run by the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
I have a Fine Art Practice-led doctorate, focusing on esoteric philosophy.
“A Robert Wyatt Construction Kit - work in progress, nearing completion”
This sculpture is constructed in European Oak. As the title indicates it's a symbolic portrait of the famous British musician Robert Wyatt. My wife got to know him while she was doing her doctorate in music, as relating to philosophy. In due course I also met him and the work began.
I designed this work in April 2018. It's part of a much bigger project, consisting of a lot of building work, so I am still awaiting the go-ahead to begin work on it.
