John Creekmore

I have been drawing since I was 10. I have taken 4 years of Commercial Art, 1 yr. of Technical Illustration and a year at the Dayton Art Institute.

I had stepped away from art for a while because of the progression of life, a job, a son and maintaining a home. I still tried to maintain a studio of sorts but it was difficult to keep at it. Then a life long friend asked me to do a few things for him on cigar box guitars he was building and before I knew it I was right back into my art again and better than I had ever been before. I had finally found my style after years of experimenting with all kinds.

And thanks to that I’m in the happiest place in my life so far.

Portfolio:

Pen & ink

I have been trying to combine my own style with that of the likes of Patrick Nagel. I think I have finally become comfortable with where I am now.

Today it is the lovely Adria Arjona on my board, taken from a scene in the movie 6 Underground where she plays "5". Done by hand in ink, colored pencil and acrylic.

Hope “Hope”

This is dedicated to Charlotte Louise Cope “Charl”. A 23 yr old NHS paramedic in South Wales that suddenly passed away on April 13th while fighting to care for others during the pandemic. This is dedicated to ALL those fighting for all of us everyday, but her story struck me differently as she was so young and that she had so many difficulties throughout her young life to finally overcome those battles only to then dedicate her life to others. She died fighting the good fight as many others have, and I salute all of you including my step daughter Allyson Morris my wife Tammy Creekmore, Amber King and Krissy Dull.
