Claudio Sapienza, already matter expert at the chair of History of Contemporary Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, with teaching experience in several Italian cities, is tenured teacher of Graphic, Pictorial and Scenographic Disciplines at the Secondary School in Catania.
He has a considerable exhibition activity and collaboration with galleries and curators. Winner of the Art Open Space Award (2016) and the competition Il segno (2018), organized by the magazine «Artapp»; finalist at the Gutenberg Award 2020; decorated by the YICCA Award 2020-2021 and the Marchionni Award 2021; special mentioned at the Teelent Contest for the Florence Biennale; invited at the XIII Florence Biennale (October 2021); selected by «Art Market Magazine» for the Gold List n. 6 – Top Contemporary Artists of Today.
His texts and works have been published in essays, catalogues, and trade magazines.
