Paul Freidin was born in 1935 in Los Angeles. He began drawing at the age of 3. His passion was drawing fire engines and later battle scenes from World War 2.

His formal training was at Chouinard Art Institute in 1955. He studied painting under several abstract expressionists and left in 1957. He continued his education in 1971 at Cal-State, Los Angeles where he recieved a B.A. in Anthropology in 1973 and an M.A. in Anthropology in 1976.

He worked as a researcher for Documentary films, A jazz Saxophone player, A truck driver, a silk screen printer, an industrial photographer and a technical writer before becoming a full time artist in 2003. Paul has had exhibitions both locally in Southern Nevada, Los Angeles, New York City, Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, Denver and the4 U.K.
