Johanna is the abstract painter. Colours are the driving force behind her art. The content of her works depends heavily on her life experience.
Johanna, born in 1949 in Sverdlovsk, Ural who grew up in the former Soviet Union, is a engineer in the food industry graduated in Odessa, and a Ph.D. in Sociology in Moscow, where she has been working as a researcher in industry and as a teacher and vice principal at a high school. She is living on the Aland Islands in Finland from 1991.
Johanna's interest in photography, fashion design, and painting developed at a young age. She had a strong sense of art and her need to express herself in pictures and words, and in clothing design / textile art grew with age.
Johanna has attended various art courses and group exhibitions with other artists / craftsmen in Sverdlovsk, Odessa, Moscow, and in Mariehamn, Aland Islands and in Sweden, Italy, Japan, Danmark, Estland. Johanna had 11 solo exhibitions.
Johanna is a member of the Åland Art Association, Åland Literature Association, Non-fiction writers Association in Finland and Åland`s Painter’s Association, Art Association “Alliansen”, KFA in Sweden.
As an Abstract Artist, Johanna opens herself to creatively capture the energy and colours of nature. She creates nature and the beauty of the human spirit in her way on canvas through Abstract Art.
It is her desire that her art works will speak to your heart, mind and resonate with your soul. As an artist it is her goal to share her art and her dreams with you.
Her life is a magical journey that continues to add to her creative experiences.
