Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Kondo is a calligrapher. In addition to bokusho (avant-garde calligraphy), she also strives to create pieces which can be read and enjoyed by the viewer. Kondo is a member of the Mainichishodokai. She is notable for holding an exhibition with her husband, who works with Noh masks, titled Nomen to sho no fufu futari-ten [A Husband and Wife's Pair Exhibition of Noh Masks and Calligraphy].
