Lüthi (alias Abdelghafar)

I was born on 23 august 1967 just before midnight in Zurich.

Exactly in this moment the sign of the zodiac changed from lion to virgo.
So i can roar like a lion and I am orderly and good organised like a virgo.

Art was ever in my life. In school I made a scenery for a party. And in my leisure time I was drawing and painting.

I made the diploma in the commercial college and then I was in commerce.

1999 I began to specialize in marketing and publicity.

I draw and painted in my rare leisure time.
In 2004 I had my first exhibition in a dentist's practice in Zurich.
A lot of peoble confirmed my talent so I began to increase the art.

Some more exhibition were following in restaurants, offices, and in an administration building. Then I had an exhibition with many other artist in a gallery near berne.

In september 2008 I set up my own company named "Kunst-Grafik Lüthi" as a second job.
The first orders for graphic art were following.

So I could gain from the course "graphic art in publicity and design" at the New Art School in Zurich I absolved from 2001 till 2004.

In 2005 I made the diploma as economist BI at the business management school in Basel.

My favourite technique is to paint with oil colour. The painting will be built by different coats.
First I paint the background and I create the construction of the painting and then I work on the details. This gives the painting a three-dimensional touch.

In 2006 I began to paint on velvet. This is a very difficult and intensiv technique and it takes a lot of time to work the oil colour into the velvet. I have to work really exact because the velvet is "living" with its hairs. Sometimes I d'ont paint the background so you will see the character of the velvet. It should not be only a painting but a special painting on velvet. I use also different colours ov velvet and the result is really special.

I draw with pencil, coloured pencil, water colour and charcoal. Sometimes I use a combination of it and I can get the strokes stronger.

Oil colour on canvas

Here you can see all my paintings with oil on canvas

Abu Dhabi while sunset “Abu Dhabi while sunset”

This oil painting shows the impressive skyline of Abu Dhabi at night. The deep blue night sky creates a calm, almost mystical atmosphere. The coastline with calm water reflecting the city lights creates a gentle transition between water and land. The buildings are painted in shades of blue, purple and orange, reinforcing the impression of a lively, vibrant city. The windows are indicated by small dots of light, giving the picture depth and vibrancy. Additional gold and copper pigments have been worked into the painting to enhance the reflection of the sun! The painting conveys an atmosphere of calm and elegance, coupled with the dynamism of a modern city, capturing the beauty of a skyline at night and inviting the viewer to lose themselves in the scenery.

Rock of the Monument Valley “Rock of the Monument Valley”

The oil painting shows an impressive depiction of a striking rock formation in Monument Valley. In the centre of the picture is a massive, columnar rock with steep, weathered flanks. Its ochre and brown tones contrast strongly with the vivid, turquoise-blue sky. Light, white clouds hover on the horizon and lend depth to the scene. The surrounding landscape is depicted as barren and dry, with various shades of brown and gold conveying the rough texture of the desert floor. There are hints of other rock formations in the background, emphasising the vastness of the landscape. The painting style is realistic, with carefully placed brushstrokes that capture the rough texture of the rock and the gentle transitions of the sky. The warm light that illuminates the scene suggests a late afternoon or early evening.

Grey herons family “Grey herons family”

This oil painting shows an impressive scene with two grey herons at their nest. The composition is dynamic and lively. The herons are depicted in detail, with their characteristic long necks, pointed beaks and grey plumage. Their yellow legs stand out in colour. Small chicks with ruffled feathers can be seen in the nest. The background is a rich green colour. The sky is depicted in a light, almost whitish blue, which forms a beautiful contrast to the darker colours in the foreground. The brushwork on the birds is precise, while the background is rather soft and atmospheric. This draws the viewer's focus to the main figures in the painting. Overall, the painting conveys a vivid impression of nature and the family life of the grey herons, while at the same time capturing the beauty and grace of these birds.

Hunting scene “Hunting scene”

This colourful oil painting shows a lively depiction of a fox hunt. The riders are depicted in different positions, adding movement and dynamism to the scene. A pack of hounds runs in front of the horses. The background is dominated by lush autumn foliage in bright shades of yellow, orange and green. The trees form a natural frame for the group of riders and reinforce the impression of a forest scene. The contrast between the lush green of the grass and the warm autumn colours of the trees creates a harmonious but vibrant colour palette. Great emphasis has been placed on detail, from the individual facial features of the riders to the careful depiction of the horses and dogs. The brushwork varies between precise strokes for the figures and looser, impressionistic techniques for the foliage and background. This painting captures the atmosphere and tradition of fox hunting, embedded in the colourful splendour of an autumn day.

Royal cranes “Royal cranes”

This oil painting depicts the captivating scene of African wilderness with two majestic royal cranes. These elegant birds are depicted in rich detail, with their distinctive black bodies, white wing patches and the striking yellow crowns of feathers on their heads. The background is dominated by a clear blue sky interspersed with soft white clouds. The contrast between the rich blue of the sky and the vibrant green of the savannah creates a harmonious and lively colour palette. The savannah itself is depicted in various shades of green, with subtle hints of grasses and vegetation. A few trees can be seen in the distance on the horizon, adding depth to the scene. A calm, almost meditative atmosphere has been created. The cranes appear to be standing next to each other in silent harmony, giving the picture a peaceful and contemplative mood.

Coral reef “Coral reef”

The painting shows a bird's eye view of a coral reef. The wide, dark blue sea surface under the bright, cloudy sky is divided by the coral reef. The turquoise blue colour of the sea, typical of a coral reef, can be seen on the left. The white trace of the waves begins broadly in the foreground and tapers towards the horizon, creating a strong depth effect. The colour palette of the picture is dominated by different shades of blue - from deep navy blue to light, almost turquoise tones. The contrast between the dark water and the light sky, as well as the white trail, gives the painting a dramatic effect. This painting conveys a sense of vastness, movement and the power of the sea.

Lions family “Lions family”

This oil painting shows a peaceful scene in the African savannah. In the foreground you can see a family of lions on an expansive green grassy area. A male lion stands in the centre and is surrounded by several smaller lion cubs. Some of the cubs are playing nearby, while others are standing close to the adult lion. The background of the picture shows a typical savannah landscape with gently rising green hills. Scattered trees and bushes can be seen, including a striking thin tree in the centre of the picture. The sky is a light blue colour, which contrasts beautifully with the green tones of the landscape. Overall, the painting conveys an atmosphere of peace and familiar harmony in the wilderness, with the majestic lions taking centre stage in the idyllic savannah landscape.

Monument Valley Panorama “Monument Valley Panorama”

This oil painting shows a breathtaking depiction of Monument Valley in the American Southwest. In the foreground, a vast, rocky plain stretches out in warm ochre and gold tones, capturing the rough texture of the desert floor. The detailed depiction of the rugged surface conveys a sense of the aridity and harshness of the environment. The characteristic mesas and rock towers are recognisable. The vastness and depth of the landscape is emphasised by the different arrangements. The sky is a clear, bright turquoise blue. Delicate, white streaks of cloud on the horizon lend the scene additional depth. Overall, the painting conveys a sense of vastness, timeless beauty and the majestic tranquillity that characterises this famous desert landscape. It masterfully captures the essence of Monument Valley and invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the stillness and grandeur of this unique landscape.

Monument Valley “Monument Valley”

This oil painting shows the iconic desert landscape of Monument Valley. A vast, ochre-coloured desert plain stretches out in the foreground, interspersed with rolling hills and sparse vegetation. A narrow, light-coloured path winds its way through the barren landscape. I wonder where it leads? The eye-catcher of the picture are three majestic table mountains rising on the horizon. These characteristic rock formations tower imposingly into the bright blue sky. Their reddish-brown colour tones contrast effectively with the intense blue of the sky. The painting style is realistic, with fine details in the texture of the desert floor and the shades of the rock formations. The colour palette ranges from warm earth tones in the foreground to cool blues in the sky, creating a harmonious yet dramatic composition.

Moscow by night “Moscow by night”

This atmospheric oil painting shows a nocturnal city view of Moscow, dominated by the imposing silhouette of Lomonosov University. The painting captures the pulsating energy of the Russian capital at night, with a fascinating interplay of light and reflections. In the foreground, the lights of the city are reflected in the waters of the Moskva River. The illuminated façade of Lomonosov University and the characteristic spire tower stand out clearly against the deep blue night sky. Other skyscrapers and buildings are grouped around the main building, their illuminated windows twinkling like a sea of stars. The streets and bridges are indicated by curved lines of light, symbolising the dynamic movement of urban life. Overall, the painting conveys an impressive impression of Moscow's nocturnal beauty and urban energy, captured in a moment of quiet contemplation.

New Yorks Brooklyn Bridge “New Yorks Brooklyn Bridge”

This stunning oil painting depicts the cityscape of New York City at night, focussing on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and the famous Manhattan skyline. The majestic Brooklyn Bridge can be seen in the foreground, its lights stretching in a radiant chain across the East River. The imposing Manhattan skyline rises up behind the bridge. The skyscrapers are depicted as glowing silhouettes, their windows twinkling like countless stars in the night. In the lower third of the picture, the city lights are reflected in the calm waters of the East River. These reflections create a fascinating interplay of colours and shapes, adding depth and vibrancy to the painting. Overall, the painting captures the vibrant energy and timeless beauty of New York at night. It gives the viewer the feeling of standing on the banks of the East River and enjoying the breathtaking view of the city that never sleeps.

Oasis at sunset “Oasis at sunset”

This oil painting shows an atmospheric desert landscape with an oasis at sunset. The scene is dominated by warm, luminous brown and orange tones that bathe the sky in a fascinating play of colours. The dark silhouettes of several palm trees can be seen in the foreground, which stand out strikingly against the light-coloured background. A large palm tree on the left-hand side of the picture stands out particularly prominently. Smaller palm trees can be seen scattered across the horizon, lending depth to the scene. There is a small fountain in the centre of the picture - surrounded by a few smaller palm trees. These elements form an interesting contrast to the bright sky and give the picture a touch of human presence in the otherwise unspoilt landscape. The sun has soon set and we are only slightly tinged. Overall, the painting conveys an atmosphere of tranquillity and vastness, typical of the peaceful mood of a desert sunset.

Dune of sand “Dune of sand”

Oil painting on canvas from a dune of sand playing with the wind, or is the wind playing with the dune? Empty but in the same time a richness feeling! The size of the painting is without frame 50 x 70 x 2 cm and with frame 53 x 73 x 3 cm, the painting was finished on 01.07.2003. This painting has a wonderful wooden shadow gap frame. Also this painting is painted on the side. You get when you buy this painting a certificate of authenticity with the number, the size and the date of finishing the painting and my signature. I have the list of my paintings with the numbers. This list is carefully preserved.

Caste of the earl of Dracula “Caste of the earl of Dracula”

This oil painting shows an impressive depiction of Bran Castle, also known as "Dracula's Castle", in Romania. The castle dominates the picture with its characteristic towers, red roofs and massive walls. The sky glows in a dramatic palette of colours - from deep blues to bright pinks and reds to a golden yellow on the horizon. The combination of the detailed architecture of the castle and the colourful, surreal-looking sky creates a captivating and slightly eerie mood that fits in well with the mystical aura of the castle. Overall, it is an atmospheric and dramatic painting that captures the mysterious beauty of Bran Castle and creates an almost fairytale-like atmosphere thanks to the intense colours. And who is standing in the small tower on the castle? If you look closely, you can recognise the Earl...

Skyline Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania “Skyline Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania”

This fascinating oil painting shows the cityscape of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania at night. In the foreground is Fort Bitt Bridge, one of Pittsburgh's many famous bridges. Its lights are reflected in the dark water, creating a dynamic line that leads the eye into the composition. The city skyline rises majestically in the background. Skyscrapers with illuminated windows rise into the night sky, with two particularly tall buildings dominating the silhouette. The colour scheme of the painting is predominantly in various shades of blue, from deep navy blue to bright cyan. Yellow and white dots of light create lively accents and convey the pulsating energy of the city at night. This work invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a dreamy, almost surreal version of a familiar cityscape and stimulates the imagination to visualise what the city of the future might look like.

Venice - Grand Canal “Venice - Grand Canal”

This colourful oil painting shows a romantic view of the Grand Canal in Venice at dusk. The famous canal stretches out in the foreground, its deep blue water reflecting the warm colours of the sky and the surrounding buildings. The small boats lend life and movement to the scene. The characteristic Venetian palaces and houses line both sides of the canal. The detailed depiction of the architecture with its Gothic windows, balconies and ornamentation testifies to the artist's care. In the distance, where the canal opens up, the striking silhouette of the dome of Santa Maria della Salute can be seen, towering majestically over the skyline. The sky is painted in soft pastel colours, ranging from yellow to pink to a delicate lavender, capturing the magical mood of the dawning evening. This work is a tribute to the timeless beauty and unique character of the lagoon city.

Victorian falls “Victorian falls”

This impressive oil painting captures the breathtaking power and beauty of the mighty Victoria Falls. In the foreground, the mighty waterfall dominates the picture. Massive masses of water plunge over a dark cliff edge into the depths. The contrast between the white foam and the darker rocks lends depth and drama to the scene. The upper part of the picture shows a clear, blue sky with scattered soft clouds, which lend the painting a peaceful note and contrast with the wildness of the waterfall. A strip of green vegetation can be seen on the horizon, emphasising the naturalness of the scene. The small rainbow at the top right edge hints at the gigantic dimensions of this waterfall. The brushwork varies from broad, bold strokes for the main structures of the waterfall to fine, detailed lines for the spray and water splashes. This technique lends the work both power and delicacy.

Volcanic eruption “Volcanic eruption”

This oil painting depicts a dramatic volcanic eruption of Mount Etna. The volcano rises in the centre of the picture, its crater glowing an intense white-orange and showing a massive eruption. Fiery streams of lava and glowing clouds of ash shoot up into the night sky. This explosive energy contrasts strongly with the dark background, which hints at the night scene. The sky is coloured in warm orange and red tones, which intensify towards the right and create a glowing atmosphere. This reinforces the impression of heat and dramatic lighting emanating from the eruption. The composition inevitably draws the viewer's gaze to the explosive centre of the volcano and conveys a sense of awe and respect for the forces of nature.

Volcanic island “Volcanic island”

This captivating oil painting portrays the dramatic moment of a volcanic eruption in the middle of the ocean. With skilful brushstrokes and an expressive colour palette, a scene of elemental power and natural beauty has been created. In the centre of the painting, a dark, rocky volcanic island rises out of the deep blue sea. A mighty column of smoke billows from the volcano's crater, spreading out into an extensive cloud formation in the sky. The composition is dominated by horizontal lines - the horizon, the cloud bank and the surface of the sea divide the picture into clear zones. This structure is broken by the vertical line of rising smoke, emphasising the explosive nature of the event depicted. The waves rippling around the island have fine turquoise-coloured highlights, adding depth and movement to the water.

Forest playing with the light “Forest playing with the light”

This atmospheric oil painting captures the mysterious mood of a wooded area. In the foreground, a narrow stream meanders through the forest landscape, its mirror-smooth surface reflecting the surrounding trees and the bright sky. The banks are lined with lush, dark greenery, which forms a stark contrast to the glistening water. Slender tree trunks in various shades of grey and brown rise up on either side of the stream, their crowns disappearing into the upper edge of the picture. The foliage is depicted in delicate, impressionistic brushstrokes in various shades of green, giving the forest a lively, airy quality. In the background, sunlight breaking through the foliage blurs the trees into a misty veil, creating an effect of depth. This subtle lighting emphasises the dreamy, almost mystical atmosphere of the work.

Ocean wave “Ocean wave”

This dynamic oil painting captures the unbridled power and beauty of the ocean. A majestic wave takes centre stage, rising in a perfect curve and on the verge of breaking. The movement and texture of the water have been masterfully captured. White spray crowns the crests of the waves and blends with the foamy clouds at the top of the picture, creating a visual connection between sea and sky. Golden and sandy tones shimmer through the transparent blue of the wave, lending depth and warmth to the work. These colour nuances are reminiscent of sunlight breaking through the water and emphasise the vibrant energy of the scene. The curved brushstrokes and flowing lines reinforce the impression of movement and lend the painting an almost hypnotic quality. The viewer can literally feel the sound of the waves and the salty sea breeze.

Sunset in Africa “Sunset in Africa”

The picture shows an atmospheric sunset of the large, bright orange-coloured sun in the sky. The sun dominates the upper half of the picture and shines in warm yellow and orange tones, surrounded by a light haze. The sky is coloured in intense violet tones. This intense violet colouring lends the picture a mysterious, almost magical atmosphere. In the lower part of the picture, the dark silhouettes of trees and bushes can be recognised, standing out against the night sky. Their blurred contours emphasise the dreamy character of the scene. The painting style is expressive, with visible brushstrokes that lend the work movement and vibrancy. The contrasts between the warm and cool colours and between light and shadow create a fascinating visual tension.

Lippizan horse with a special nose “Lippizan horse with a special nose”

This oil painting shows the portrait of a Lippizan stallion against a light, blue background. The horse is depicted in profile, with its head and part of its neck visible. The depiction of the horse is realistic and detailed. The white coat is painted with fine shading and grey tones, giving the animal depth and texture. The fine details on the horse's face are particularly striking - the expressive, dark eye and the attentively forward-facing ears. The contrast between the light-coloured horse and the turquoise background is very effective and makes the animal stand out. The background itself is kept simple, with slight colour variations that give the picture depth. Overall, the painting conveys an impression of calm and elegance, emphasising the noble beauty and gentle character of the horse.

Mexico Sierra Tara Humara “Mexico Sierra Tara Humara”

This oil painting shows the impressive landscape of the Sierra Tara Humara in Mexico with a lonely rider and his dog on a narrow path. The landscape is dramatic and varied. A massive rock face rises up on the left, its steep cliffs painted in warm earth tones. The vegetation is lush and autumnal, with trees and bushes in shades of green, yellow and orange enlivening the scene. On the right, a wide view opens up into a plain. The distant view shows a varied landscape with rolling hills, forests and open spaces stretching to the horizon. The sky is a clear, light blue colour with a few delicate streaks of cloud. The vegetation and rocky structures are particularly detailed. Overall, the picture conveys an atmosphere of freedom, adventure and the vastness of nature.

Herd of horses relaxing “Herd of horses relaxing”

This atmospheric oil painting captures the essence of the freedom and naturalness of a herd of horses on a wide summer pasture. The horses stand close together on a lush, yellow-green meadow that dominates the foreground of the painting. The bright green of the grass forms a vivid contrast to the intense blue of the sky and emphasises the warmth and lushness of the summer landscape. The attention to detail with which the individual horses have been portrayed is particularly impressive. The central figure, a powerful brown horse, appears to be looking directly at the viewer, creating an immediate connection with the audience. The horizontal arrangement of the horses and the clear division between sky and meadow create a harmonious balance that emphasises the natural beauty of the scene. This painting is a tribute to the majestic beauty of horses and their connection with nature.

Young wild herd of horses “Young wild herd of horses”

This captivating oil painting shows a herd of horses in full motion. The powerful animals - painted in various shades of brown and black - gallop as a cohesive group and kick up a lot of dust. The dynamism and energy of the horses have been masterfully captured. Their muscular bodies and fluttering manes convey a strong sense of movement and freedom. The composition draws the viewer's eye directly to the herd in the centre of the picture. The horses stand out dramatically against the light-coloured background. This is framed by lush green tones that suggest a forest-like environment. The contrast between the lively horses and the diffuse, dream-like landscape creates a fascinating atmosphere. This painting perfectly captures the wildness and beauty of horses in the wild. It is an impressive work for horse lovers and anyone who admires the power and grace of these majestic animals.

Noble horse portrait “Noble horse portrait”

This beautiful oil painting presents the portrait of a majestic horse in an idyllic landscape. The grace and dignity of the animal has been masterfully captured, its warm, brown coat contrasting with the lush, green vegetation and delicate pink flowers in the background. The horse looks out of the picture with an alert, intelligent eye. The horse's musculature and supple body shape are rendered with remarkable attention to detail, emphasising the animal's power and elegance. The background is painted in soft, impressionistic brushstrokes. Delicate pink flowers frame the horse and create a romantic, almost dreamlike atmosphere. This painting is not just a portrait of a horse, but a tribute to natural beauty and the harmonious connection between animal and nature. It radiates calm and serenity and invites the viewer to immerse themselves in this peaceful scene.

Racecourse spectacle “Racecourse spectacle”

This lively oil painting masterfully captures the excitement and atmosphere of a horse race. The dynamics of the movement are impressively depicted, with the stretched bodies of the horses and the riders bent forward in their colourful jerseys. The imposing grandstand rises up in the background, decorated with red flowers. The spectator stands are filled with a colourful crowd, depicted as a mosaic of numerous small patches of colour, symbolising the diversity and liveliness of the audience. It has succeeded in combining the energy of the race with the excitement of the spectators. This painting is not only a depiction of a horse race, but also a tribute to the tradition and glamour of racing. It gives the viewer the feeling of being right in the middle of the action and makes the excitement and thrill of a race day palpable.

Saint Tropez “Saint Tropez”

This lively oil painting presents the picturesque harbour scene of Saint Tropez. The reflections of the colourful buildings and boats are mirrored in the water and create a fascinating play of colours. Behind the boats rises a row of characteristic Mediterranean houses in warm shades of yellow, orange and red. The buildings are lined up close together and form a picturesque backdrop. The sky is a deep, calming blue, suggesting an evening or early night mood. This choice of colour enhances the contrast with the warm tones of the buildings and makes the scene appear even more vibrant. The realistic style with clean lines and bright colours captures the beauty and charm of this Mediterranean port city. Overall, the painting conveys an atmosphere of tranquillity and romance, coupled with the vibrant energy of a coastal town. It awakens longings for holidays and invites the viewer to dream themselves into this idyllic scenery.

Tropical forest “Tropical forest”

This oil painting shows a lush, tropical landscape with a large tree with a thick, light green trunk and a dense, dark green crown. The branches and twigs of the tree are depicted in a flowing, almost organic manner, giving the tree a lively and dynamic appearance. Various tropical plants grow around the tree. In the foreground you can see large, feathery leaves of ferns or palms, painted in rich shades of green. The ground is painted in warm shades of yellow and brown, creating a strong contrast to the lush green of the vegetation. A hilly landscape stretches out in the background, painted in various shades of green and conveying an impression of depth and expanse. The sky is painted in delicate shades of blue and white, with light cloud formations rounding off the scene. The use of light and shadow gives the painting depth and dimensionality.

Castle Reichsburg Cochem Germany “Castle Reichsburg Cochem Germany”

This colourful oil painting shows the picturesque town of Cochem in Germany. In the centre of the picture, the Reichsburg castle sits majestically on a green hill, giving the scene a fairytale atmosphere. The buildings display a variety of architectural styles, from traditional half-timbered houses to more elegant townhouses. The street life is brought to life by small details: Shops with awnings, street signs, parked cars and scooters give the impression of a busy but cosy small town. The dramatic sky, which takes up the upper third of the picture, is particularly impressive. It shows a spectacular sunset with bright orange and red tones that fade into deep blue and violet. This intense colouring lends the painting additional emotional depth and dynamism.

Oil paintings von velvet

Here you can see all my available oil paintings on velvet. This technique is very rare because it is difficult and takes a lot of time. There are only a few artists who paint with this technique and I am one of them. And I am a bit proud of it!

Cave in the desert “Cave in the desert”

This fascinating oil painting presents a cave landscape with a play of light. The composition is dominated by warm, earthy tones - various shades of brown, ochre and bright yellow. In the centre of the painting are the sinuous, organic shapes of the cave walls. The shapes are coloured in warm brown tones and are surrounded by bright yellow areas to represent the light entering the cave. In some places the colours seem to flow into each other, while in others they form clear boundaries. There is a small white area at the bottom of the painting that captures the sunlight hitting the floor of the cave, creating an interesting contrast to the otherwise warm colours. The painting conveys an atmosphere of warmth, mystery and natural beauty. The technique of oil on velvet is very rarely used as it is very time-consuming and difficult.

Misty forest “Misty forest”

This atmospheric oil painting presents a dreamlike landscape in a fascinating colour composition of blue and violet tones. The surreal, nocturnal scene stems from reality, but nevertheless transports the viewer into a mystical world. The silhouettes of trees can be recognised in the foreground, which are painted in deep blue tones and stand out against a violet sky. The central element of the picture is a striking purple tree in the centre of the composition. This shape rises up and almost seems to glow, giving it a supernatural presence. Overall, the picture creates an atmosphere of calm and at the same time mysterious tension. It invites the viewer to immerse themselves in this seemingly mystical landscape and find their own interpretations. I wonder if there is a ghost somewhere! The oil on velvet technique is very rarely used as it is very time-consuming and difficult.

Lion walking “Lion walking”

This impressive oil painting shows a lioness in a dramatic, nocturnal scene. The essence and power of this majestic feline predator has been masterfully captured. Her face is worked out in detail and takes centre stage in the painting. The lioness's amber-coloured eyes gaze intensely and vigilantly, further emphasising her presence. The slightly open mouth with visible teeth reinforces the impression of a lurking huntress. The depiction of the fur is particularly impressive. The texture and movement of the fur has been captured with fine brushstrokes, lending the painting a lively quality. The lioness's musculature and body shape are masterfully emphasised through subtle shading and light reflections. The painting captures not only the physical appearance of a lioness, but also her nature as a predator. The technique of oil on velvet is very rarely used, as it is very time-consuming and difficult.

Forest in autumn “Forest in autumn”

This atmospheric oil painting captures an autumnal landscape in vibrant colours. In the foreground you can see a gently rising hill covered with yellowing grass and autumnal foliage in warm shades of yellow and orange. The dark trunks of some trees rise up on the left edge of the picture, their crowns transformed into a spectacular sea of golden yellow leaves. In the background, the gentle contours of hills in shades of green and yellow suggest a wide, open landscape. The sky is only hinted at by light-coloured areas between the leaves. Overall, the painting conveys a feeling of warmth, tranquillity and the fleeting beauty of the seasons. It invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the golden splendour of an autumn day and feel the magic of this time of year. The technique of oil on velvet is very rarely used as it is very time-consuming and difficult.

Landscape in winter “Landscape in winter”

This atmospheric oil painting shows a winter landscape dominated by cool blue tones and delicate shades of white. A peaceful, almost dreamlike winter scene has been created that transports the viewer into a quiet, snow-covered world. Fine, white blades of grass can be recognised at the edges of the river and in the foreground, lending the picture additional texture and detail. The hut on the left-hand edge of the picture ideally complements the composition. The delicate, white branches of the trees stand out gently against the blue sky and form an eye-catcher in the centre of the composition. The entire scene is enveloped in soft, blurred contours, giving the painting a dreamlike, almost impressionistic quality. The colour transitions are fluid and convey the impression of lightness and stillness that are typical of a snowy winter landscape. The oil on velvet technique is very rarely used, as it is very time-consuming and difficult.
