Artist Statement
I paint my own reality. The only thing I know is that I paint because I need to, and l paint whatever passes through my head without any other consideration.

~  Frida Kahlo

I think Frida Kahlo was the ultimate artist and expressed it best in the quote above. I photograph whatever catches my eye and touches my soul.

The first time I ever picked up a camera I realized the gift I had been given. We tend to sometimes/often miss life around us or the moments that mean the most to us.  Photographs have a way of reminding us of the beauty around us, emotions in the moment and they can illicit memories of lost moments.

A featured artist of Art & Beyond Magazine and Previously featured Artist of The Queer Gallery her work has been called "Distinctive and a Modern Day Rendition of Georgia O'Keefe"

"Wendy Coco is a photographer who specializes in capturing the images of the living world."

Born in Maine, Wendy first used her camera to capture images of rural living. In 2002 she moved to Western Massachusetts where she began exploring her interest in the arts and in floral photography. As a Social Worker she quickly found a way to combine her love of photography and her love of people.  Encapsulated in her work are poignant images of individuals and communities, and daily life immortalized.

Her dynamic style has also earned her recognition by ArtSlant Showcase and Apogee Photography Magazine

THE BEAUTY AROUND US

Photography is so much more than just seeing, it transcends spoken word. It's about the photographers ability to make the viewer feel, whether they love the photo or not. Some of my work, at times may make people stop in their tracks; maybe they think it's too controversial for their tastes or my work isn't consistent with what they tastes.. That is ok, because I am blessed to have people see my work and I am blessed that it makes people feel something.

Now more than ever providing an outlet to take people away from life, from stress, or from tragedy is so crucially important.

Naming and sizing my photo's is not my strong suit. I like the people who buy my photo's to name them and sizes will vary based on your needs.
