Belle Tuckerman

As a sculptor I express evolution, a subject that deeply provokes creation in me. There is a spiritually sacred element that draws me to an intuitive place when I am working.

Everywhere I go I study faces in detail and interpret the evolutionary history and the intrigue of life that has been inscribed upon them.

During my long career as an esthetician and massage therapist, my hands learned much about the human form and the human face. I see great beauty in ethnicity, such as Mulattos and tribal cultures, with their boundary-crossing racial heritage and long, unique history in the world.

Humans are a mystery to solve, a language to learn and a exploration across many geographical borders. I choose to sculpt the exotic and unique souls who have more colorful histories because they provoke me in a way than I cannot explain.
