Born in 1940 in Aichi Prefecture. Asai is aPhotographer and recipient of numerous awards in Japan and abroad, such as the All Japan Radio & TV Commercial Council ACC Award and the Lahti Poster Biennial Gold Award. Asai creates works by always seeking perspectives and expressions that are distinct from others and has exhibited works in various countries including the United States, Switzerland and France.
