Born in 1962, it was a brave decision in 1987 to be an independent artist. In the beginning I was as much life artist as a paint artist... but I was able to develope continuously: I expanded my knowledge about art and what goes with it, further I collected and evaluated painting experiences. My focus is oversized abstract art, I use acrylic on canvas in a colorful, vibrant and positive painting style.
Today I am very grateful, people from over 40 countries already have more than 1000 of my paintings hanging on their walls, be it in a living room in the United Arab Emirates or in an office in the USA, in a foyer in the United Kingdom or in a bedroom in Germany.

"I want to paint color symphonies...always lively, always full of energy and always positive." Peter Nottrott
Acrylic on canvas
Inspired by summery feelings, Peter Nottrott has painted a picture with green, yellow, orange, red, magenta, pink, blue, beige, lavender as well as black and white colors on his palette that has a lively and relaxed character. Characterized by many contrasts and details, it invites its viewer to discover them, following the promptings of the imagination and giving it free rein.... Because of its size, this abstract painting is particularly good for large rooms with high walls suitable. A multicolored formation seems to unfold and conveys a positive atmosphere.
For this light-hearted color formation, I mixed yellow, red, brown, blue, green, orange, white, pink, magenta, lilac and violet tones on my palette. It appears lively, friendly and positive. - As in music, in a symphony, the interaction of the individual painting components such as color tones, composition, painting technique and color structure in this work of art is more important than the effect of the isolated components. The picture is rich in details and invites the interested viewer to let their thoughts flow and delve deeper.
Like a light, the bright center appears to rise vigorously through a multi-colored fountain of color. Yellow, white, orange, pink, magenta, lavender, blue, green, beige, brown and red colors were mixed on the palette. While the center is made with a lot of contrast and detail, the background is more flat and pastel.
Modern, multicolored and intense composition. The detailed, loose center with its lively character comes into its own against the powerful background in predominantly red tones. The painting invites its viewer to delve deeper... - for example into a dream world in which the natural laws of time and space do not necessarily apply, the impossible can be possible and the imagination knows hardly any limits.
Modern, colourful abstract artwork. The inspiration for this intense and positive painting comes from the beautiful dream world - a state of consciousness in which the laws of time, light and shadow, shapes and perspectives can be suspended. For this painting, I mixed blue, black, white, gold, green, turquoise, magenta, violet and a few yellow tones on my palette; sometimes the colors seem to flow, sometimes they interact playfully. The result is a painting with strong contrasts, on the one hand between light and dark, on the other hand pastel colors and saturated colors. The artwork invites the viewer to delve deeper and let their thoughts flow as well...
