Linda

Linda Relis was born in Brooklyn, New York. As a young child she was introduced to oil painting by her mother and a life long love of art began.
In her early 20's Linda attended The School of Visual Arts and later The New York School of Interior Design. Along with honing her skills as an artist she raised three sons and eventually made art her career, focusing on portraiture. Her couse was forever alted after meeting the renowned wildlife artist Robert Bateman at a Trade Show in New York. Linda's love of nature was reignited and for many years animals became the central theme in all her oil paintings.In later years traveling around the United States and capturing impressions of all she had seen broadened her subject matter options, but animals still find their way into many of her paintings.
Over the years Linda's work has recieved manyawards and honors. Her work can be found in numerous corporate and private collections through-out the United States, including The State of Florida's Permanent Collection and The White House Christmas Tree Ornament Collection.
Linda is a member of the prestigious Society of Animal Artists. She maintains a regular painting schedule and teaches art classes from her Florida studio.
