Jo Ann Young is 83 years old and loves to paint. Jo Ann dabbled a little beginning in 1976. Then she joined a group of artist who gathered together once a week to paint and she became more serious about learning and improving her skill level. After about two years the group disbanded. Jo Ann began working on her own and although she wasn't a prolific painter, she managed to produce two or three a year. In the last two years Jo Ann has become more disciplined and committed to her art. Oil is Jo Ann's preferred medium. Jo Ann is beginning to work with watercolor as well. Jo Ann is most interested in paintings that include people.
