As a wife and mother of three children, and as a 'beauty lover', Natalie is thrilled to rediscover creativity in different ways. Thus, in addition to abstract and realistic painting with acrylic and mixed media, writing poetry has become her passion. Her fascination with colours and their inexhaustible combination possibilities are reflected in the diversity of her works of art. Since Natalie combines painting with freedom, she does not only follow a certain direction, but likes to try out different techniques and styles. It is important to her to let herself be guided by the Spirit of God, which for her is the source of all beauty.
Inspired by verses, visions and dreams, or feelings of her fellow men, she captures them expressed through colour on canvas. Natalie describes her painting process as:
"Healing of one‘s own soul, liberation from convention and limitation, and in its end product: healing and releasing of other souls".

Round About

I am painting with all kinds of forms, media and techniques. With it, I love to explore the multiple choices of combining color and texture surprising myself with the outcome.

A particular shape that is fascinating me lately, though, is the circle. The round form, that is smooth and without edges, apparently without end. It has an appealing effect when hanging on the wall with the contrarily square shape. Here, I show how I explored the shape of round canvases with diverse media.

Imagine “Imagine”

Imagine' is a work of art with many different techniques and materials. The round canvas is first primed with silver metal, on top of which acrylic paints (spatulaed, brushed and poured) are applied.
s. On the right side you can see additional alcohol inks, which have been finished with a thick layer of epoxy resin. This resin, however, does not cover the whole picture, but is distributed rather 'patch-like' in the right half. Thus it immediately forms the focus and shines when you walk past the work. The two sides are connected by another mixed media element: a chain, which has been refined in certain places with struck gold.

Overall, it appeals to the human imagination. What can you imagine? Dream big
for it will be reflected in your life.

Power of Thought “Power of Thought”

Power of Thought' is a work of art with many different techniques and materials.

Overall, it speaks about the power of thoughts. Thoughts influence our feelings, our actions and our attitudes. If it starts with thoughts, we are also able to influence many things in our favour through our thoughts.

Flawless “Flawless”

An abstract treatise on the subject of perfection. What or who is perfect? What would it look like to represent this abstractly? Here, not even the colour gold came into consideration, it had to be something that was purer than that which would stand out. That is why the whole painting is covered with several layers of striking metal, thus achieving the attempt to be without flaw or blemish. Depending on the incidence of light, the shine moves across the painting and makes it seem alive.

Midsummer Night's Dream “Midsummer Night's Dream”

'Midsummer Night's Dream' is a work for dreaming, as the title suggests. Wild, metallic tones on a round painting board create a surreal atmosphere and offer a real three-dimensionality, through the dried, real rose petals (butterflies) and the integrated baby's breath.

A little gold glitter refines the whole dreamy effect of the painting.

From Glory to Glory “From Glory to Glory”

The hummingbird is the smallest bird we know. And yet it achieves so much! Regardless of how small you are or feel, with the right attitude you can achieve tremendous things. And just as the copper in the painting slowly turns to gold, so too we go from glory to even greater glory through our experiences and aspirations.
