Bits & Pieces series

Ironically the ‘Bits and Pieces’ Series are paintings that revisit musical and lyrical mode and visual poetry from the Rajasthani, Kangra and Persian traditions. These paintings are an experimentation in another direction, where the subjects are personal, political, social as well as traditional.
The technique is splitting, splicing and overlaying; I take the original image, which could be a figurative court scene, or an organic form, then slices the source image and then mismatches the sections when I join them. But the vision of the art works is disjointed and disrupted, making it clear that with a flick of a second the incident changed my life.

Patterns of Politics

Patterns of politics series is the step forward from Let’s play politics. It revolves around the dialogues delivered during pre to post elections’13 and based on the reality of transformative change, from which the majority of the youth went through.
