Born in Chicago, Illinois, Gary Wagner's passion for
photography was ignited during his high school years, where he worked as a
photographer for the school newspaper. This early exposure to the art form set
the stage for a lifelong journey into the world of photographic imagery.
Pursuing his passion, Gary enrolled at Indiana University in Bloomington and
later moved to Santa Barbara, California, to attend the renowned Brooks
Institute of Photography. For the past four decades, he has made his home amidst
the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, where his artistic spirit truly
flourished.

Gary exclusively works in black and white, a medium
that he believes truly captures the essential shapes, lines, and tones of the
landscapes he cherishes. This choice allows him to convey his vision of the
land, sea, and light, deeply respecting the natural order and beauty of the
earth. His work marries reverence for nature with boundless creative
possibilities, making each piece a unique reflection of his artistic soul.
