Ronald Martha (1970) Ronald's work is characterized by inlaying soldering tin and clay in his statues,and by doing so getting a nice combination.

A clock made out of inlayed gray/white soapstone with a ring of brass around it and a quartz hour piece.
This statue is made out of one stone.
The panels were made first,and then i removed the stone from around and partially under the panels to make it look like the panels are floating.
This is my first Quilt stone (A quilt is a multi-layered textile, traditionally composed of three layers of fiber: a woven cloth top, a layer of batting or wadding, and a woven back, combined using the technique of quilting )
I started by making a big mozaiek from small pieces of stone that where leftovers from other projects.
then i cut the mozaiek to pieces and stacked them back in 5 layeres (3 on top of each other and 1 layer on two sides )
It was exiting to see which colours and paterns emerged when i made the final shape in the stone.

Alabaster Earth core.
This was the first alabaster stone i put solder in.
I actualy used this stone just to test out how circles looked in stone,because i didnt realy like the way it looked at the moment i tryed it.
But when i was done and i polished the stone ,my jaw dropped of how beautiful the stone realy was.
Since then i realy love circles in stone.

It was a simple expiriment that taught me alot.
I made this stone processor for my nephew.
Its made from indian soap stone inlayed with white clay.
A attempt to capture the dynamic and flowing movement of a cyclone in a solid rock.
I was very happy with the result and im plannig to make more of these type of statues.

I made this stone voor my Neighbour, she has a Ginko tree that shes very proud of.
So when i made this stone i taught of how to incorporate that feeling.
It turned out to become a beautiful stone for a wonderfull woman .

This is my serpentine gearshifter.
Its kinda hard to see but i made it so that it feels realy comfortably in my hand.
I let it it bulge out or holloewed it out in certian places so it fits realy comfortable.
And i added a brass base plate so it wont crack at the bottom if u shift to hard.

Crop circles in Soapstone
After i found the base of this statue ( a piston mechanism of a airco pump) i got the idea of making something spacey out of it.
This sculpture came to live after i made a mistake while i was adding lead to the stone.
when the stone ruptured in the middle when i was casting lead in it,i removed the stone and got this result.
I was realy happy en surpriced that a mistake can be so beautiful.
Sins then i made more sculptures this way on purpose.

The idea for this drawing came to me after someone gave me 6 basic imposible figures of triangels and squares.
When i saw them my mind just came loose with ideas,and the very next day i made this drawing.
Since then my love for impossible figures still feels very strong.

I made this pendant out of a reflector i found in a old overhead projector.
Against the lens i glued 2 brass nuts,and a stainless steel kabel serves as a eye to hang on a cord.
This body of a woman is forged out of 3mm thick sheet metal.
I made this statue together wiyh my girl friend,under the guidance of a friend who owns a forge.
This kitchen knife was forged out of a small block of Damascus steel ( Damascussteel is steel that contains many layers of steel who are forged together)
The handle is made out of brass,nylon,meranti wood and a midle ring of kenian soapstone
By inpregnating water between a layer of paint and metal rust vorms inbetween the two,
and when the paint peals of the metal surface , it has a nice rust patern on it .

This button is made from african padauk wood and is inlayed with 50/50 solder.
surounding the padauk wood is a brass ring.
I made this car key for a colleague of mine because his car key was broken.
It exists out of very hard african Blackwood inlayed with 50-50 solder.
The front and the key hole are made out of brass,and the back plate is made out of sawblade material which is very hard and made it nice to polish.
Also due to the hardness its very resistant against scratching.
I made this car key for my girlfriend.

Surrounding the padauk are 2 brass rings which are separated by a stainless steel ring.
The key ring is connected to the stainless steel ring.
