Chloe Louise Yelland

I am a UK based artist and illustrator, recently graduated from the University of Derby with a Second Class (Honours) degree in Illustration.

As a little girl, I was always very curious about art and enjoyed drawing and painting like every child would, but I never thought I would pursue it as at that age, I saw it as only a hobby. However, it was not until I was ten years old when I received my very first professional watercolour painting set as a Christmas present from my grandfather, that I began to see it as not just a hobby, but a fun and a rewarding career.

When I am working, I use a range of techniques, working with both watercolour and acrylic, with the most recent being line drawing. I specialise in floral, wedding bouquets, landscapes and animals. Having studied illustration, I continue to experiment with my developed skills as well as spread a positive essence in both my paintings and line drawings.

My inspiration comes from nature, everyday life, photography, animals, mythology and history.

Influences include Georgia O'Keeffe, Claude Monet, Walter Crane, Vincent van Gogh and Johanna Basford.
