Michael Adam Alpert
As a muralist, Michael Adam Alpert developed groundbreaking textures and finishes for the walls on which his murals were painted. As a portrait painter, his portraits are highly dimensional interpretation of his subjects that has redefined traditional portraiture. His paintings of people, especially children, are raw and real, yet remain sensitive to detail; His focus on the eyes of his subjects displays a concise realism which transcends the visual and draws the viewer into the realm of the spirit.
Michael now is creating in the DIGITAL medium and is loving it. Creating images using the same sensitive touch and combining the numerous techniques he has mastered over his 30yrs as a professional artist. Resulting in photos that often look like paintings that move as you start to find things that at first glance you didn't know were there.
Michael received his training at Rhode Island School of Design and Pratt Institute, where he graduated with honors. He freelanced as an illustrator, working with Oscar De La Renta, American Express, Donna Karan, Neiman Marcus, and Arnell Bickford, to name a few.
His commercial work transitioned to larger mediums, and he was commissioned to paint huge murals for clients such as Sony Theatre, Magic Johnson Theaters, Planet Hollywood and numerous restaurants nationally and internationally.
