William Haney

William Haney is painter and digital artist. He has lectured and taught at Carnegie-Mellon University(CMU), The College of New Jersey and University Of Pennsylvania. Currently he is a full Professor at Seton Hall University teaching Drawing as Design and Digital Painting. While at C-MU’s College of Fine Arts he was one of the first artists to create digitized paintings on a computer. In a Wall Street Journal article titled ‘Artist Learns to Paint with Computers’, Professor Haney described the software program and application techniques he used to create his pixel-based art. He has exhibited in over fifty exhibitions including: numerous exhibitions nationally incuding the Carnegie Museum of Art, PA. Alex Rosenberg Gallery, NYC. Smithsonian “American Drawings” exhibition, Washington, DC.,Scarfone Gallery, Tampa, FL, Butler Institute of American Art, Westmoreland County Museum of Art, Invitational, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, Painting Invitational, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Invitational, Washington.
