The artist first became known on the art scene at the age of 16 when she won an open art competition and her first exhibition came as a result two years later where she was described as a “new, young talent”. Her art is in several private art collections around the world and she has exhibited in France, Norway and various other European countries. She went on to study philosophy, design and humanities before moving to Paris and starting an art education in the specific areas of painting, art history and sculpture. Nina Dreyer Henjum also owned an art gallery where she exhibited other artists’ art, but she now concentrates on her own expressionist paintings, lithographs and sculpture, where she explores the human being in relation to different cultures and religions.
