Artist Statement
Born and raised Canadian I look to the flag as my muse and center.
At a long table I offer a feast of what is white bread Canada. At this table, like most Canadians, I offer new friends to sit down and relax and taste of my world while I drink up their history and friendship.
With every day the banquet grows bigger. As new members sit at my picnic table and eat my pie, I learn of their cake. This art is about welcoming new friends. Canada welcomes everyone, and so do I.
Artist Statement, (Dayle Crawford)
It is the perfection of a cube and it's enclosed space that I document.
The skin or artifice of my work may echo this enclosed space but it is merely a visual gift I allow you.
Within us all, there is an unique, private place that can not be touched, affected or damaged by anyone or anything. This dark space may very well radiate light if you live with God.

I always have paintings and sculptures for sale. I accept commissioned work. I can be reached at iandanac@iandanac.com www.iandanac.com

Portfolio:

Snow Food / Corn Boil

This series of 18 paintings were all created in early 2017.
Process / Recipes:
First, a collage is created on canvas and wooden panels with recycled cardboard, paper and sometimes burlap. Many layers of gesso are used to create a texture and helps weld the collage materials to the surface. Many layers of acrylic paint are used to add to the texture. Acrylic high gloss varnish is then applied.
