Roslyn Rose, has recently relocated her studio to Rochester, NY from New Jersey. Her art work is in the collections of many museums and corporations including the Newark (NJ) Museum of Art; NJ State Museum; NAWA Collection at Voorhees-Zimmerli Museum, Rutgers University;

Bending reality, I have integrated the landscape into buildings or incorporated buildings with the landscape. The components of the Photographic Montages are made up of images taken in different countries and far flung lands.
By merging my photos of Penobscot Bay, Maine with an interior wall of a building in Washington State and a found image of a coastline in Antarctica, I am suggesting the possibility of an inverted world.
I have placed my beach scene of a coast on the Penobscot Bay, Maine within and beyond the confines of a abandoned building photographed in Germany years ago. The building could be holding back further intrusion by the sea or the sea may be absorbing the house.
Encounter was created by blending two distinct images, an abandoned room found in Europe and portion of the Atlantic ocean with an old fishing boat. By integrating and changing these photographs, I have created a possible new reality or future.
