"I work primarily in oil and my motifs are almost always pictures of women in different contexts, surrounded by flowers, birds or other animals. For me, oil is the most exciting medium and I usually work on four or five paintings on a rotating basis. I never decide in advance how I want the finished painting to look like. It's like the painting itself is deciding during the process."
