I am a painter based in New York City and Houston. Having grown up in southern California where the sunlight is unusually clear and radiant, I seek to create a feeling of luminosity in my work. I am interested in exploring the interplay of light and color, using representational and abstract subject matter.

In my representational work, I try to convey a sense of the mystery and wonder of everyday objects. My abstract work reflects my interest in geometrics, color juxtapositions, color contrast, and transparency.
