Emiko Sato was born in Hokkaido in 1954. With lively colors and lines, her paintings give off an almost musical impression, and a mental picture is reflected in the theme color of each of her pieces. Sato's abstract works are made particularly attractive by the compositional power which has been assiduously kneaded into them.
