Joanie Landau

Artist and Jewelry Designer Joanie Landau was born and raised in New York City. Early in her artistic career, she became fascinated with collagraphs, a rather obscure form of printmaking in which a relief plate is made from textured materials. Later, she applied her love of color and originality to her jewelry designs, tirelessly exploring the magical, infinite, and fun possibilities.

Joanie Landau has shown her work at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking and at the Silvermine School of Art, where she won both the “Rembrandt Award for Excellence in Graphic Art,” and the “First Prize Mixed Media” Awards. Her studio has been featured in East Coast Home and Design magazine. She is currently showing her work at White Birch Studio in Westport, CT, and has exhibited in New York, Massachusetts, Southern California, Washington, DC, Rhode Island, Raleigh, NC, Connecticut and most recently the Cooperstown Art Association where she won the Award of Merit for her piece Justice + Equality. Her work is currently on view at the Farmington Museum in New Mexico and Imago Foundation for the Arts in Rhode Island. She is a proud member of the Loft Artists Association in Stamford, Ct.

She lives in Fairfield, CT with her husband, son, and their rescued Bichon Frises, Indy & Otis.
