don almquist has lived and worked in Sweden and the United States where he has garnered a number of awards and citations. He has acted as art director and consultant to the U.S. Government, Interior Department, Fish & Wildlife Service, designing posters and literature. Don is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and after graduation illustrated many adult & children's books and continuing to paint. Don's studio was built on the banks of the Delaware River where the scenery is shared by a multitude of wildlife and the occasional cruise ship that slides silently past the studio window.
