I am Dorith. My collection of art is presented under the name FacingDorith.

I make portraits because I feel the need to paint people. Because the way people react, what they say and do... and not do, intrigues me. Their being and their words fascinate me. People are an enigma. I try to capture the essence of their being and translate my feelings to the canvas. Or my interpretation of who they are. Because my faces are my view of a person.

To me the beauty of a Face is not a search for perfection but for personality.

I paint intuitive, what make that I work rough and quick, with thick paint. But sometimes I like to use a little bit to less paint. With the thick and colorful paint my faces feel rich and colorful.
