Food and pop culture.
Food is part of everybody’s memories, culture, and everyday lives. Our entire lives revolve around food.
Toys by their miniature nature propose a different perspective, easily drawing us into another point of view. Toys are also inevitably tied into something bigger in current popular culture.
Using toys and food I construct worlds that may seem strangely familiar; but upon further examination, can reveal unexpected scenarios. Blurring the lines of reality by altering the scale of people, food, and landscapes. – M.Carden
