Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1956, a multidisciplinary artists, Keiko Yaginuma's works range from oil paintings to glass-based paintings and paper mosaics. Most pieces are themed on nature or the environment, fields she learned about after going back to university. Time spent studying in the UK is one influence on her work.
