Ever since I can remember I have used visual art as a means of self-expression. Believing at a young age that "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly..." (1) fueled my desire to visually render "what eyes have not seen. " (2) Our human condition and the potential of what we can become when made fully alive is not easily perceived at first glance; therefore, through my art I have made it a lifelong quest to bring some of these mysteries into consciousness. When we are given the eyes to see what we are at the core of our human existence we can connect with what makes us fully human, for "what is essential is invisible to the eye. " (3) In: VISIBLE realities become incarnational; when filled with the breath of life they begin to take on a life of their own. They bypass the ways we comprehend audibly, and "speak " things into being that did not previously exist in our understanding. As one given the language of images, with awe, I endeavor to communicate such unseen realities, and see them spring into life eternal.
