William B. Crowell, LWS, is an acrylic artist who specializes in Louisiana subjects. An active member of many local art associations, his paintings have won awards in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Illinois.
William B. Crowell received his BFA from the University of New Orleans. Following the loss of his home and studio to Hurricane Katrina, he was displaced to Fayetteville, AR, until returning to the New Orleans area in 2006.
William B. Crowell is represented by the Garden District Gallery. In addition to private collections, his work appears in the New Orleans Museum of Art, the George Ohr Museum in Biloxi, MS., Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson, LA, and Chevron Northpark, in Covington, LA.

William Crowell feels strongly about the spirit, culture, and uniqueness of Louisiana, and his work reflects this affection. From the quality of light to the diverse subject matter, both natural and urban, Louisiana provides the artist with an “embarrassment of riches.” In all his paintings, Crowell attempts to include the viewer in this fond appreciation.
